Florence
Villa San Michele
The spacious suite where I spent the night was a far cry from the monk's quarters it had originally been. In the Carrara-marbled bathroom's Jacuzzi tub, I soaked away the aches I'd gained from previous days of touring. Before collapsing into the luxurious king-sized bed, I caught from my window a dreamy glimpse across the twinkling gardens - there on a private patio a couple was enjoying a candlelit dinner outside their suite, which had once been the monk's limonaia. Rome
Grand Hotel St. Regis
My large room offers luxurious relaxing temptations: an oversized bed covered with pale gold damask under a Murano chandelier and a big marble bathroom, stocked with Hermes products. After a bubble bath and deep-dreamy nap, I awake in winter twilight to an overhead view out my window of the dramatically lit Fountain of the Naids. [REVIEW]

Tuscany
Only a few minutes from the historic center of Florence, a shrine of countless and timeless artistic beauty, lies The Sonesta Resort & Country Club Tuscany. As you leave the perimeter of the city, you come to find a place set amidst the Tuscan hills and Appennino mountains. Here the dramatic profile of the Sonesta Resort buildings and the XVI Century Villa of Cignano offer you an unforgettable experience. The Hotel offers a fascinating and picturesque mixture of ancient and modern, in 47 large double rooms where luxury becomes a part of everyday life. http://www.poggiodeimedici.it/
